May 9, 2012 from 10am -12pm at the Brunswick Community Center, Keyes Lane, Troy, NY. After lunch there will be a pasture walk from 1pm-2:30pm at Sheffers Grassland Dairy, 74 Sheffer Road, Hoosick Falls, NY. Lunch will be provided. Professor and dairy nutrition expert Larry Chase,Cornell University, will provide information on maximizing production and managing costly inputs for the most profit. Jason Karszes,Cornell University, will provide a summary of grazing information gathered from the DFBS( Dairy Farm Business Summary) and strategies to prosper this year.USDA-NRCS specialist Karen Hoffman will host the pasture walk to talk about maximizing your production and managing inputs.
